If you have never used a GDS before and have a job lined up, this online, interactive component course offers airline reservations training without the hotel and car rental modules. These can be taken later if required but often bookings are made direct through car rental operators or tour operators which may be able to offer better rates. Focusing on native commands the course includes 21 lessons on airline reservations, fares, rules, pricing and ticketing with lessons, quizzes and two final assessments. Starting with Travel Industry Fundamentals, a training introduction, navigation tutorial and a technology overview it begins with “What is a GDS?”.
